Regions and model availability
Which AI providers serve which countries, why some Multilo models are hidden where you are, how your location is decided, and what you can do about it.
AI providers decide where their models can be used. When a provider doesn't serve your location, Multilo hides that provider's models. Your other models, your projects and everything that runs on your computer keep working.
These lists can change
This page was last checked against each provider's list on 5 November 2026. If they ever differ, the provider's list is correct.
Where each provider's models are available
Where you are | Hosted models available |
|---|---|
China, Hong Kong, Macau, Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba | None. You can use your own API key. |
Venezuela | |
Yemen | OpenAI and Google |
Myanmar, Afghanistan | OpenAI |
Everywhere else | OpenAI, Anthropic and Google |
Your plan still decides which of these models you can use. Providers also limit some parts of countries, such as occupied regions of Ukraine. Their own lists have the detail: OpenAI, Anthropic and Google.
What you'll see
The model menu lists only the models available where you are.
Auto chooses among those models.
If you had picked a model that's no longer available, Multilo tells you and moves to another one.
If no hosted model is available, the app says so.
How your location is decided
Multilo uses the IP address of each request. It's checked every time, and nothing changes on your account. A VPN or proxy counts as being where it connects from, so if models you expect are missing, check that first. See Proxy & network.
What you can do
Pick another available model, or use Auto.
Add your own API key. Those requests go straight from your computer to the provider, which applies its own rules and may still refuse them.
